Literate folk of the Twittersphere -

How many of us love reading? A lot, right?

And how many of us hate people, or hate most people? A lot, I’m sure.

How about a Twitter Book Club? I’m thinking, we choose a list of books for a particular month, choose one a week to read, and then spend an hour discussing it… on Twitter.

So, here’s how it would work:

  • You read the book the club has chosen for the week,
  • You set aside an hour a week, for example each Wednesday 7pm-8pm to tweet about the book/the author/anything you find relevent to the text itself, and to discuss your opinions with like minded people,
  • If you’re going to tweet about the end of the book, #spoiler at the beginning of the tweet, just in case fellow members haven’t gotten that far.
  • Once the hour is over, you continue with the rest of your life/start reading the book for next weeks session.

Simple!

There will be a list created for everyone who is interested, so we can just click on that and everyone who is taking part will be there!

Hashtagging #TwBC at the end of the tweet will mean we won’t miss any relevant tweets.

The time of the book club will be listed here, along with the chosen books for each week of the month.

So let me know what you think/if you’re interested and let’s get this thing rolling! I’m @HitnMiff or @RyanPlugs on Twitter :)
